Take your time and enjoy the rideI’m someone who often has an urge to figure things out or learn them as soon as I make up my mind that I want to. Of course this isn’t very realistic, and a good case in point is recently when I thought I’d like to learn the piano. I didn’t want to take a year to get good, I wanted to take a month and learn some songs. I set out looking for a piano lessons dvd and found one that appeared professional and targeted at what I wanted to learn. The only thing is the website was talking about a years worth of lesson content, that just seemed like too much for me, but I was willing to try. What I found when I got started with the lessons was that I enjoyed the learning process. I just needed to learn and slow down, and enjoy the ride rather than being so caught up in doing something fast.
