Our lead guitarist left on an extended vacation with his girlfriend, just after we had booked five gigs. My Uncle Vick has been a musician for as long as I can recall, and he is very talented especially with playing the jazz guitar.  When he came over for dinner last week we had a really fantastic time eating some pork ribs, pasta salad, and my famous cherry chip cheesecake.  Uncle Vick said that he enjoyed dinner so much that he wanted to play for his supper, and he gave us a great concert.  He played a style called chicken picking guitar, and it was such fun!  This was the first music of this sort that we had heard him playing and we all loved it.

George just downloaded some great sounding music.  He was so happy.  He had been searching for great software that could download songs and other useful software.  He said he had tried different programs but ran into problems with many of them.  Several caused his computer to crash.  I think I would have given up but not George.  He continued to seek out a good program.  He said it was called ares.  He said that there had been some bugs in the past but with new program, everything works just the way it is suppose to.  It also has a chat room to talk with other people with the same interest. 

I was looking for blu-ray copies of Disney’s Peter Pan (the classic one, not the sequel – I guess if you bought it for your six-year-old, fine, but I’m really angry at Disney for putting out these lackluster sequels just to make a quick buck) and ran across the live action movie. I really liked it when I saw it in the theaters and am thinking about getting it – I’m sure it looks beautiful in hi-def. They did a great job with the set decoration and the effects – it really was a great, live action version, and for this story that’s hard to do (don’t even get me started on Spielberg’s HOOK).
