All hope is not lost though, you can take action to speak fluently again, you just have to know how to do this.
I often found that when I stuttered, it was because I was rushing my sentences, trying to speak quickly before I was interrupted by other people. I learnt to slow my talking down and speak with more authority, and this really helped.
