My grandfather, aged 85 and his wife are wearing the so-called medical alert bracelets brought by my dad who happens to be a doctor by profession. The bracelets were for free from the medical staff in their hospital so he took some for my grandpa. At first, I thought that they were just for accessory purposes, but later on I realized that they do have their purpose. To my surprise, one of the best purposes of these bracelets is that it can alert the medical professionals in times of emergency and provide information about the victim or person involved. The bracelets that I thought were only for accessory turned out to be of great purpose.
